What Is Reverse Design?

Reverse Design is the process of starting with a finished space and working backward to uncover the design decisions that created it.

Instead of beginning with a blank room, we begin with inspiration.

Then we decode it.

We ask questions like:

• What color palette anchors the room?• How are patterns layered together?• What shapes balance the furniture layout?• Which pieces create the focal point?• What styling details bring the space to life?

When you understand these elements, recreating the look becomes surprisingly simple.

The Four Layers of Every Beautiful Room

Through Reverse Design, we've found that most well-designed spaces follow the same structure.

1. The Foundation

Every room begins with the largest elements:

2. The Palette

Once the foundation is set, the designer builds a focused color story.
